We are lucky people, and we have not lost sight of that. To be able to travel the way we’re traveling is an enormous blessing. We have played songs around a campfire in rural Denmark; we have spent a day exploring Copenhagen, we have played an intimate house concert and a beautiful outdoor show, and met so many welcoming and fun Danish people. We ate, drank, laughed, and shared songs with two of our new close friends, M.C. and Carina, who have two dogs, two cats, and seven chickens. That was Denmark.
Now we’re in Hannover, Germany, staying with the wonderful family of our host, Rainer. We played a local radio show this morning followed by a detailed, personal tour of this incredible city. Tonight we will be playing a full set in an auditorium here. Tomorrow it’s on to Berlin. I can’t believe this tour is already a third over. That’s the downside– it’s not long enough. At least we still have 6 more days in Germany, and then a whole week in Leeds and London. What an experience this is.
